A 2021 review
According to a recently concluded survey, it was confirmed that 45% of people misplace their remote almost every week, 28% misplace their keys, 33% misplace their phone, and 27% misplace their glasses. Being unable to trace some of our essential possessions when we most need them has become an almost inevitable happening. But with the wide range of tech-savvy gadgets like Trackr and tile that helps us trace our lost gadgets, that isn’t a big deal. These are highly effective gadgets coupled with advanced features.
Trackr vs Tile are Bluetooth-enabled trackers with a free app that lets you trace almost everything and anything. They require you attach your objects to them and use the mobile app to trace their exact location. When you can’t locate your phone, you can as well trace it using the device. They are constructed differently although they use the same technology to help you find your lost items.
They are affordable, reliable, and require no professional skills to operate.
Trackr and tile aren’t created equal. They differ in almost all aspects though they do the same job of helping you locate your lost items. Let’s have a look at the key differences between the two.
These Bluetooth-enabled trackers can only find lost items situated within a certain range. The Tile tracker is strong enough to locate items placed 200 feet away. As for the Trackr Pixel, it can only locate items within 100 feet. This simply means the tile style tracker has more power and it is potent enough to trace items located far away.
Tile trackers have a built-in IP68 rating. This gives them a higher degree of dust and water resistance. The manufacturer has confirmed that it can stay submerged in water for about 30 minutes. As for the Trackr Pixel trackers, they aren’t waterproof. Anyone desiring to add an extra waterproof and dust resistance layer has to part ways with extra $10 to buy the water-resistance casing.
When it comes to size and weight, Tile is way larger and thicker. It feels quite huge attaching to small items like headphones, keychain, and umbrella. It’s even worse when you have to attach it to your pets and secret documents. As for Trackr Pixel, it is smaller and has a more minimalist and less-pronounced look. It is certainly the perfect choice for you if you only want to track small items within a small range. Tile is way bigger than everyone’s expectations but that is due to the great range of high-end and powerful features.
Tile is a design-rich tracker that gives users a variety of awesome design options. The Tile Style design is simple and perfect for the everyday use that fits best for women. As for the Tile Sports design, it is rugged hence perfect for rougher adventures. The Tile slim design is compact enough to fit into your wallet while the Tile mate feels a bit large and may only be suitable for household use. In overall, all Tile trackers are square shaped. As for the Trackr, it is circular in shape and comes in two design options; the Bravo and Pixel. Trackr as well gives you a wider range of color options. When we compared the two in terms of design and pricing, Tile outsmarts Trackr. Tile has more attractive designs and costs cheaper.
The Tile Style tracker is way better when compared to Trackr Pixel in terms of loudness. The Tile Style tracker has an eight-decibel loudness advantage. It has a noisy alarm volume at 98 decibels while the Trackr Pixel has a volume of 82 decibels. If you operate in a congested office or house, the tile style tracker will be the best bet for you.
When it comes to additional features like GeoFencing, Tile isn’t the best choice. It does not have GeoFencing capabilities so you won’t get alerts when you go out of its Bluetooth tracking range. As for Trackr, it includes a super-potent GeoFencing feature that lets you know when you move out of its tracking range. The GeoFencing isn’t worth if you operate within a limited surface area such as in an office or house. Therefore, you shouldn’t overlook the value offered by the Tile Style tracker to consider features that won’t add value to your everyday life.
Trackr and tile are no doubt some of the world’s best devices for tracking lost items in the house and office. They are backed by customer reviews and high user ratings hence they are a worthy purchase. But then, they aren’t created equal so you shouldn’t expect the same quality service from both. The Tile style tracker carries the day. It is cheaper, has a broader Bluetooth range, and includes a more attractive design look. It has a rugged and waterproof construction hence can stay submerged in water for several minutes. It’s likewise way louder than the Trackr choice. That doesn’t mean Trackr is a useless device. It has several features and qualities that you won’t find with the Tile tracker. Therefore, it is up to you to decide which among the two will give you the value you desire from a Bluetooth-enabled items tracker.
